Air Dispatch has recently completed the largest hotel check in the United Kingdom since 9/11
A large American Insurance broker had contracted with an American Charter Airline to transport a total of 8000 people to London over two four week periods, one in June 2005 and the other in June 2006.
The Airline turned to Air Dispatch to assist with the arrangement in London, we sourced the Security Company and Ground Handler and arranged for meetings between the Airline, UK department for Transport, the Transportation and Security Administration from the US, Manston Airport the Ground Handler and the central London Hotels. A security protocol was worked out and permission was given for the operation to take place.
Up to 600 people were checked in on each occasion using a manual process the night before the flights and that baggage was trucked from the Hotel to the Airport under tight security. The passengers were then able to proceed to the airport the next morning with only there hand baggage.
This was the first and largest Hotel Check in since 9/11 and demonstrates what can be achieved by Air Dispatch from the UK.
