Air Dispatch Collect record amount of additional charges

The Air Dispatch team around Europe managed to collect a record EUR 1.7 Million in Excess baggage, upgrades and date change fees between May and October for one of our main clients, This represents an average of EUR 1500 per flight.

We are contracted to provide this service at a number of UK and European Locations.   The charges are collected via credit card terminals similar to those found in restaurants. Wherever possible the charges are taken at the check in desk as we have found that this process is much better than the passenger having to go to the ticket desk and pay before battling back to the check in desk to collect their boarding card.

Over the time we have been collecting these fees we have worked with the customer to develop incentive programs and marketing material we have also learned to target a certain profile of passenger for upgrades. With the planned expansion of flying in 2007 and a longer season than has previously been the case we hope to pass the EUR 2 Million mark in 2008.
